We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider and Support Services as a Casual Care Assistant.
Due to changes within our service, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Levick Court, which provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities during their short breaks.
We are looking for a Casual Care Assistant to support our existing team in providing individualised care and support to the people who access our service.
Levick Court offers short stay breaks for adults with learning disabilities and is 24 hours service. The building is purpose built, which ensures that we can meet the needs of a wide range of individuals who access our service.
We have spacious communal areas, including multi-purpose activity rooms, a media room, and secure gardens available to those accessing our services. We have a domestic and catering staff on site; however, this role does involve some additional housekeeping duties.
We are looking for caring, fun, creative individuals, who can work collaboratively with our team to ensure that the people that use our service enjoy their stays.
This role will appeal to you, if you have a passion for helping others, you like being involved in activities with the people that you support and want a role with flexible working hours.
To be successful in this role you need to have good communication skills, which will assist you in keeping people engaged during their stay.
It is desirable, though not essential, that applicants have experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities.
If successful, you will be joining a friendly supportive team that is passionate about delivering excellent care services to all.
If this is you, this may be the opportunity you are looking for!
If you would like to talk through this opportunity further, please contact Scott Griggs, Care Home Manager at or call 01642 726493.
Please note Middlesbrough Council do not currently offer sponsorships.
The above post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
We operate a Guaranteed Interview Scheme for applicants that can show they meet all the essential criteria and have indicated they have a disability, are a looked after young person, care leaver or a veteran.
