We’re hiring a Communications Officer to join our team in Portsmouth! This is a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week with a minimum of 40% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working within the Communications team and other colleagues across the business.

Here’s the facts about the role:
As Communications Officer you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the communications strategy, spanning internal and external communications. You’ll work with the Communications Manager to deliver our communications strategy and plans that support the organisation’s goals. The aim of the role is to enhance and protect the organisation’s reputation and ensure the focus of our corporate communications is integrated and maximises readership across customer, corporate and employee audiences.
You’ll create and implement high impact, integrated communications which support key “campaign” areas, working collaboratively with the Communications team and other stakeholders to make sure campaigns and messaging are aligned, reflect our culture and used to full potential across all audiences. You’ll take a “hands-on” tactical approach, working closely with the Communications Manager to keep focused on priorities and activity.
You’ll demonstrate the ability produce high standards of written and other content, putting customers at the centre of our communications whilst ensuring content is relevant, clear and concise. You’ll be an excellent corporate storyteller with the ability to write and create compelling, creative and informative content suitable for a range of internal and external communication channels. You’ll also play a key role in the effective organisation of a wide range of internal and external events.
You’ll need to have active and in-depth knowledge of corporate communication methods and tools within a communications team, hold excellent communications/PR experience including content creation, digital marketing, event management and content management systems for websites and intranets. A Degree level qualification or relevant professional qualification within communications/marketing would be an advantage.

Second stage interviews will take place at our Portsmouth office WC 17 November.
