University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust are seeking mature, honest, enthusiastic, hardworking and committed individuals who can work in a team and independently. The role complements existing security teams at the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Sussex County Hospital, and may involve duties across all University Hospitals Sussex premises.
Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom; sponsorship is not available.
In addition to the base rate of pay, the role includes additional enhancements of approximately £3,000 to £4,000 per year for night and weekend working.
Main duties of the job
You will encounter difficult, aggressive and sometimes violent individuals, as well as patients and visitors. The role requires formal training in conflict management and physical intervention techniques.

Essential requirements
* Good communication skills and understanding of written and spoken English.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and sustain long periods of concentration.
* Full training will be provided; experience in security in a healthcare or higher education setting is advantageous.
Qualifications
* SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor Licence
* Full Category B driving licence
