This position involves working with senior management to identify and implement strategic growth opportunities and evaluate medium to long-term investments for the QSR and Foodservice sectors within the EMEA Flavour Solutions Division. The role requires providing influence and leadership to achieve financial objectives and support business improvement programs.
Responsibilities include:
1. Involvement in and influence over key business decisions affecting the QSR and Foodservice sectors in EMEA, providing financial and business support to commercial directors and their teams.
2. Collaborating with commercial teams in customer negotiations, including preparing for and participating in face-to-face meetings with customers.
3. Understanding the end-to-end business operations and marketplaces, and assisting in developing strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
4. Ensuring optimal allocation of McCormick resources across commercial functions, R&D, and Operations.
5. Leading a team of two qualified accountants based in the UK and France.
6. Working with global colleagues on QSR business initiatives.
Qualifications
* BSc in Finance or Accounting.
* Over 8 years of post-qualification experience in FMCG or manufacturing, preferably in a commercial business partner role.
* Experience in multi-site, multicultural, and international business environments.
* Proven ability to contribute to strategic planning, lead change, and support a business during rapid growth phases.
* Experience in developing growth strategies through business relationships and exposure to M&A activities.
* Comfortable working in results-driven, high-performance environments.
* Ability to manage multicultural teams of qualified accountants both locally and remotely.
* Strong technical skills and experience with best-in-class management information systems.
* Proven success in matrix finance functions and cross-functional partnerships, particularly with supply chain and operations.
* Ability to analyze operational aspects and provide value-added insights.
* Skilled in simplifying complex situations and providing clear recommendations.
* Competent in complex customer negotiations and face-to-face meetings to safeguard and enhance McCormick’s commercial interests.
* Must possess influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
