Role: C Programmer
* Location: Hybrid working (Working days in the office are negotiable, we anticipate 1 day per month after training, during training the successful individual would need to attend the office frequently)
* Office Perks: Walking distance from Brentwood train station, free parking.
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
* Workload: Write C code to refine and develop the existing Swift system.
Responsibilities
* Be proficient compiling code using gcc and Makefiles.
* Produce detailed technical specifications to allow Business Users to agree proposals.
* Maintain and produce bash scripts.
* Enhance existing modules within the Swift System.
* Write new modules for the Swift system.
* Maintain links with external systems.
* Provide user support for Swift system issues.
* Correct customer information as authorised.
* Take part in the overnight on-call support rota
* Assist with other IT tasks if required (User support and System Administration)
Required Experience:
* Upwards of 5 years extensive C coding experince.
* Experience of producing Makefiles.
* Experience with system integration.
* Familiarity with Subversion.
* Understanding of Red Hat Linux.
* Ability to understand and support existing code.
* Experience in the financial sector not essential but preferred

Remuneration:
* Salary: £55,000 - £70,000
* Additional Pay: 10% monthly pay after probation, backdated to start date.
