Brand & Creative Specialist
Reporting to the Director, Communication, Marketing, & Public Relations
Responsibilities
* Lead marketing and promotion efforts for programs and services, collaborating with community groups, sector partners, and stakeholders to identify, develop, and promote partnership opportunities while raising awareness of Northwood’s offerings.
* Collaborate with the departmental team to establish annual marketing plans and goals for programs and services.
* Manage and enhance the brand’s online presence through content creation, follower engagement, social media monitoring, and performance analysis to support overall marketing objectives.
* Provide layout and design support for communication materials that align with Northwood’s brand.
* Create, maintain, and evaluate marketing plans.
* Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental goals.
* Research, conduct environmental scans, and identify trends impacting the delivery of programs and services.
* Demonstrate program knowledge, marketing, and sales abilities.
* Build relationships with healthcare professionals in hospitals and community-based organizations to ensure visibility of Northwood programs and services through sponsorships, trade shows, and promotional events.
* Develop and maintain communication links with internal and external clients.
* Develop content (text, images, video) for various social media platforms.
* Update and maintain social media profiles, ensuring consistency across platforms.
* Collaborate with Program Managers to align social media efforts with broader company goals.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rate, follower growth, and website traffic; compile regular reports to track social media campaign success and suggest improvements.
* Engage with social media audiences by liking, commenting, sharing posts, and responding to messages and comments.
* Perform other related duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business and/or a certification in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism
* Three to five years of experience in Marketing and/or communications role
* Medical background or experience working with medical devices and or considered an asset
* Experienced in layout and design, editing and proofreading and with print/production processes
* Experienced in writing editorial content
* Adobe Programs
* Knowledge of Web site design and content
* Knowledge of Social Media
* Must be able to work independently
* Ability to multi-task while working to meet tight deadlines
* Communications and Media

* Proficient in the use of windows-based software including MS Office Suite (with an emphasis on MS Word), Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Word Press
* Able to work independently and as a positive and productive team player
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multi-task while working to meet tight deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
Salary
As per Northwood Scale
Effective Date
May 25th 2026
Hours
80 hours bi-weekly (Term 12-18 months)
