Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students develop positive behaviour, resilience, and confidence. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties to engage positively in their learning
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation and self-belief
Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement effective behaviour management strategies
Promoting emotional regulation, positive communication, and conflict resolution skills
Creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student can succeed
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in a Behaviour Mentor role, you should have:
Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, or care setting
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting behaviour
Confidence when working with students with additional or special educational needs (SEN)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
