We are looking for a Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Burns Critical Care team and work alongside a friendly and hard‑working multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of care by providing support to registered staff for severely burnt patients and their families. Patients include both adults and children; previous experience with all ages would be an ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with basic nursing care, e.g., washing, moving and handling, mouth care, eye care, testing urine, assisting in pressure area care and generally attending to patient comfort.
* Assist in dressing changes.
* Assist patients with feeding needs.
* Assist with rehabilitation of the burn injured patient.

The competencies expected of the post holder may change where specific skills/knowledge are required to deliver care within specific clinical areas.
