Aforward ‑ thinking public sector organisation is seeking experienced and qualified Fire Risk Assessors to join its dedicated Fire Safety team. Operating within a large and diverse property portfolio, the organisation ismitted to maintaining the highest standards of safety,pliance, and customer care. This role plays a vital part in ensuring buildings across the estate remain safe,pliant, and effectively managed in line with statutory fire safety requirements.
Your New Role
You will be joining a specialist team responsible for delivering fire risk assessments and supporting fire safetypliance across a large and varied corporate portfolio. As one of three Fire Risk Assessors, your responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out Type 1, 2, and 3 Fire Risk Assessments across a wide range of buildings.
2. Ensuring fullpliance with fire safety requirements across the corporate estate.
3. Using your detailed knowledge of FRA processes to assess fire risk holistically and accurately municate identified issues.
4. Identifying suitable remedial works and ensuring rmendations align with organisational timeframes and FRA process documentation.
5. Providing technical fire safety advice to colleagues and serving as a contact point for external organisations where required.
6. Building strong working relationships with contractors, internal teams, and customers to ensure effective information sharing and reporting.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
7. A strong technical background with in ‑ depth knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated fire safety legislation and guidance.
8. Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM as a minimum (or the willingness to obtain it).
9. A recognised fire safety qualification, such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, IFE, or an equivalent.
10. A minimum Grade 3 fire risk assessment qualification (FPA, IFE, or similar), or registration with a recognisedpetent body.
11. Experience in the fire safety industry, including experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments within social housing settings.
12. Excellent verbal and written munication skills, with the ability to clearlymunicate fire risk and good fire safety practices to a wide range of stakeholders.
