Business Teacher (Secondary, up to A Level) - Long-Term Supply Cover
Location: Coventry
Start Date: From 23 February 2026
Duration: From February half term until at least July 2026 (likely extending beyond, subject to school needs)
Salary / Pay Rate: £168 - £261 per day (paid in line with the UK qualified teacher pay scale for planning and marking responsibilities)
Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school and sixth form in Coventry for an enthusiastic and committed Business Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A Level), in a supportive and inclusive school environment rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The role includes full classroom teaching responsibilities, along with planning, preparation, and marking, which are accounted for in the pay structure aligned to the qualified teacher scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Business Studies up to A Level
- Plan schemes of work and lessons
- Mark student work and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to the department's aims and wider school ethos
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK experience
- Experience teaching Business Studies (or related subjects) to GCSE and ideally A Level
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for the curriculum
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one via the agency) and right to work in the UK
