Social Worker Safeguarding Team in Hereford UK £Annually Permanent

What you will do:
* Manage a diverse caseload in guidance with the organisational needs of the Directorate on a daily basis.
* Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people, families, and carers to identify needs and determine appropriate actions while planning suitable service provisions.
* Engage in preventative and supportive work with families in need and undertake risk assessments as needed.
* Foster effective planning for children and young people involved in care, supervision, or adoption proceedings and those entering the looked-after system.
* Participate in training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and undertake daytime office duty on a rota basis as required.
* Contribute to the development of team members and students while maintaining accurate and organised case files.
* Create reports to aid decision-making and promote positive care planning outcomes for children and young people.
* Collaborate with foster carers and other stakeholders to develop a collective approach to supporting looked-after children.
* Encourage active participation from service users in the planning and provision of services while ensuring children can access independent advocates.
