Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the Sports Centre facility (sports hall, gym, football pitches) and manage facility bookings for commercial and educational use.
* Promote the sports centre and facilities in partnership with the marketing department to attract and retain new members, businesses, and hire opportunities.
* Maintain a close working relationship with educational staff to ensure all facilities are utilised and maintained.
* Take responsibility for financial targets, product development, and diversification.
* Supervise activities and manage cleaning, security, health and safety, risk assessments, staff, and rota scheduling for casual centre staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Appropriate degree level qualification (or working towards), or significant relevant previous experience.
* Enthusiasm for sport with experience as a skilled umpire, participant or coach.
* Experience preparing and managing budgets.
* Proven track record of producing results to demanding deadlines and handling multiple issues simultaneously.
* Experience managing staff at all levels.
* Ability to bring fresh and new ideas.
Salary
£30,107 to £34,418 (effective from 1st April 2026).

Location and Working Hours
Permanent position at North East Surrey College of Technology (Nescot) located on a 60‑acre campus with a range of educational facilities and a sports centre available for public hire outside core college hours. The Sports Centre is open 7 days a week, with the gym open to the public on evenings and weekends. The postholder will be expected to work shifts covering evenings and weekends.
