SEMH Art Teacher
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision in Leeds for an experienced KS4 Art Teacher to work on a part-time, temporary basis (Monday to Wednesday).
This role is ideal for a creative and adaptable teacher with proven experience teaching Art at GCSE level, who is confident supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in a specialist education setting.
The Role
* Deliver engaging and differentiated GCSE Art lessons to KS4 pupils
* Plan and adapt schemes of work to meet individual learning, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Use creative teaching approaches to support engagement, self-expression, and emotional regulation
* Establish a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience
* Essential: Experience teaching Art at GCSE level
* Previous experience working within SEMH, SEND, alternative provision, PRU, or similar settings
* Confident behaviour management skills using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
* Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
