Job title: Lecturer in Education & Early Years
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £32,136 - £42,848
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Teach and assess courses including Level 2 BTEC in CPLD, BTEC Extended Diploma in CPLD, and the T-Level in Childcare and Education.
* Play an active role in marketing the College and Department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
* Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking examination papers, and developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Required Skills and Experience
* Has a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
* Qualified with an Early Years related degree or equivalent, or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (DTLLS or equivalent).
* Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTLLS) or willingness to obtain.
* Has relevant industry experience.
* Has maintained professional updating within the early years sector.
* Ideally has relevant teaching experience within the FE sector.
* Is well organised and able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
* Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.
* Proven record of innovation and a proactive approach to delivery.
