Interim Clerk of Works – Surrey – £47.45 per hour (Umbrella) A Housing Association operating across South London and Surrey is seeking an Interim Clerk of Works to support the delivery of high-quality housing projects. This role is offered on a contract basis and is reporting directly to the Major Works Programme Manager. Role Overview: You will play a key role in the Quality Assurance of capital and cyclical works being delivered by a Housing Partnership. Working alongside a dedicated team, your responsibility will be to ensure works meet the required specifications, standards, and health & safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver a thorough Quality Assurance / Clerk of Works service across the full range of capital and cyclical work. Agree joint quality control procedures with contractors and audit these for compliance and effectiveness. Maintain a professional and constructive relationship with contractors’ supervisory staff. Review and interrogate specifications and drawings to identify and rectify issues at an early stage. Carry out weekly site inspections to verify materials, workmanship, site practices, and compliance with safety standards. Prepare detailed Health & Safety and site inspection reports.
