We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Motor Vehicle Instructor to deliver high-quality vocational training within a specialist school supporting students 14-19 years, with SEND (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs).
The role is be a permanent position, with an interview with the Head of School, and a day with the students.

The Role as a Mechanics Instructor:
* Deliver engaging motor vehicle and mechanics-based vocational lessons (Level 1)
* Teach practical skills including vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair
* Support learners in gaining industry-relevant qualifications and experience
* Develop lesson plans tailored to a range of abilities and learning needs
* Promote health & safety standards within workshop environments
* Track and assess learner progress effectivelySupport students’ personal development, confidence, and employability skills
The Ideal Motor Vehicle Instructor Will:
* Have strong industry experience in motor vehicle/mechanics
* Hold relevant qualifications in automotive or engineering (Must hold minimum Level 2)
* Have experience working with young people (education or training setting preferred, but will still consider)
* Be confident managing behaviour in practical workshop environments
* Be patient, engaging, and able to inspire learners
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
