Overview
A nurturing and diverse primary school in the B10 area is looking to appoint a resilient and encouraging Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who may display challenging behaviour. Location: Small Heath, B10 Birmingham. Pay Rate: Apply online only. Start Date: ASAP. Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm. Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only).
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils struggling with behaviour and emotional regulation
* Using calm, proactive strategies to de-escalate and redirect behaviours
* Supporting class teams to implement behaviour plans and individual support strategies
* Helping pupils develop self-confidence, focus, and positive social interactions
* Acting as a trusted adult and role model throughout the school day
Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH (school or youth-based setting)
* A calm, firm and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management techniques and resilience
