Compensation & Benefits
* £2800 to £3600 sleep‑in payments annually (based on 8‑10 sleep‑ins per month)
* 224 hours of paid annual leave per year, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
* Working on a rota basis – you will receive a monthly rota
* This is a 365‑day a year job, including Christmas, New Year and all the fun holidays – it becomes even more fun when you celebrate with the children!
* Shifts consist of days and sleep‑ins (which are essential), hours differ depending on which home you are based in
* Over time paid at 1.25×
* Fully paid 10‑day induction course
* Enhanced DBS paid for by Cambian Group
Job Responsibilities
* Meet the needs of the children and young people in line with Ofsted regulations
* Plan team rotas, supporting the deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
* Assist the registered manager and/or deputy manager in implementing all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the registered manager and/or deputy manager
* Supervise in the absence of the registered manager and/or deputy manager
* Welcome a diverse culture in the home
* Create a safe, family environment for the children
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must be aged 21 or over (in accordance with Ofsted regulations)
* At least six months’ experience in children’s residential care
* Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification
* Driving is essential due to the locations of the homes
* Flexible, reliable, adaptable, able to read situations and help young people make positive choices
* Calm in challenging situations, good listening ear, ability to show unconditional positive regard
