About Our Client

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to join a growing organisation operating within the Power Generation market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing position, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is motivated by building strong OEM and Tier 1 relationships, both domestically and internationally. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting profitable revenue growth by developing new and existing customer relationships within target market segments. You will act as a key commercial partner for global OEMs, engaging in commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and technical support activities.You will regularly meet with customers, prepare proposals, deliver sales presentations, and provide valuable market intelligence to help shape strategic plans. You will also support quoting, costing, and application engineering projects to drive the development of the fan product range.

Key Responsibilities

3. Develop and grow relationships with OEMs and Tier I suppliers, both UK and Internationally
4. Create and execute regional sales strategies and business plans.
5. Manage sales accounts for global OEMs, including commercial discussions and contract negotiations.
6. Support quoting, costing, and application engineering activities for customer projects.
7. Prepare proposals and deliver customer sales presentations to win new business.
8. Provide market analysis to support strategic planning for targeted market segments.
9. Lead special projects to define product specifications and support new product development.
10. Take ownership of customer issues and ensure timely, effective resolutions.
11. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and other internal teams.
12. Adhere to internal quality management and business procedures.
13. Carry out additional duties in line with the role as required

The Successful Applicant

The successful Sales Engineer will have:

14. Experience in OEM account management or sales within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier.
15. Background in on/off-highway, automotive, transport, power generation or similar technical industries.
16. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
17. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
18. Self-motivated, accurate, and able to work at pace.
19. Strong numeracy skills.
20. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
21. Knowledge of cooling systems, HVAC, BEV or fuel cell technologies.
22. Ability to speak an additional language is desirable.
23. High proficiency in MS Office.
24. Willingness to travel - 30% international travel
