Role: Payroll and Rewards Lead Location: Tillicoultry (Flexible) Contract: Permanent Hours: Flexible Pay: Competitive The Role Sterling Home is seeking an experienced Payroll & Rewards Lead to oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to join a supportive, values-driven family-run business. Working closely with the People and Finance teams, you'll manage payroll systems, ensure compliance with legislation, resolve payroll queries, and manage reporting and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Administer payroll-related benefits, deductions, pensions, and tax processes in line with current legislation and company policies. Lead and support the payroll team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service delivery. Maintain payroll records and prepare reports to support audits, analysis, and business reporting requirements. Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries, providing clear guidance and support to employees and colleagues. Handle sensitive employee information with integrity, trust, and complete confidentiality at all times. Work closely with People, Finance, and IT teams to maintain payroll system accuracy and support ongoing improvements. Promote a positive and collaborative working environment, championing Sterling Home's values, culture, and commitment to continuous improvement. Your experience The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar payroll role and bring the following: Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements Experience managing payroll systems and employee benefits administration Proven ability to produce and process end-of-month payroll reports Knowledge of P11D preparation and processing Confidence using HRIS systems (we currently use Ciphr) Leadership experience Experience within retail or multi-site environments & managing sales commission schemes (desirable) We appreciate that you may not meet every requirement, and we encourage you not to let this hold you back.
