4. HOURS: Full- time – 35 hours a week.
5. WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Your role as a Junior Software Engineer is to learn on the job and work collaboratively with the other Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers within the Network and Perimeter Security team and the wider organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
6. You'll join a collaborative, agile team that is product focused. You’ll design and develop features and improvements to our existing products and services. We provide BAU support as well as an on call rota.
7. Write and review Infrastructure as Code ensuring it has been written securely
8. Operationally support existing products including incidents and inbound customer requests
9. Develop and test new features for existing products
10. Manage work via Jira tickets
11. Automate and utilise AI to drive efficient and cost-effective products for our customers
12. Identify opportunities for improvements in our products and services
13. Support planning activities and product roadmaps
14. Grows own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities

What you’ll need
15. Self-starter who is able to learn quickly on the job whilst building new skills and technological knowledge
16. Ensure that any code or solutions are built in line with our security standards and industry best practice
17. Ability to listen and reflect and respect the views of others as well as being able to communicate your own opinion
18. Understand the business area to facilitate the best solution design with team members and product owners
19. Be environment aware, identify technical impediments / bottlenecks and work directly to resolve
20. Experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of working as part of an agile team
21. Experience of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
22. Be passionate about automating everything
23. Be industry aware and understand the importance of new technical approaches to evolve solutions and the experience of the team
