About the role:
We are currently looking to recruit a permanent member of staff within our Energy Gas Turbines division. The Stock Controller will control and maintain stock levels within the group, in co-ordination with the Supply chain team.
Responsibilities
* Develop the inventory management system D365
* Manage and control stock counts and reports.
* Conduct daily/ weekly / monthly stock takes
* Continual align stock counts with system and report to finance
* Minimise overstocks and report to supply chain
* Removal of obsolete / redundant products to maximise capacity
* Work with Warehouse manager to handle efficient storage
* Ensure D365 system is up to date and stock is labelled properly.
* Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
* Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
* Analyses daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
* Manages schedules of deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
* Communicates with operations team to meet business goals
* Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
* Work to reduce stock levels in association with procurement team
* Monitors demand and analyses data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
* Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge and experience of inter-department working efficiencies
* Experience of stock control in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
