Summary of Position:
We are seeking a ‘first class’ Cook Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will have culinary and management experience, responsible for kitchen functions including ordering supplies, preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, cleanliness, and supervising staff.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Support the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks throughout the day, catering to residents’ preferences and dietary needs (e.g., diabetics, texture-modified food, vegetarian)
* Manage stock and order supplies
* Plan menus
* Maintain food safety checks and records as per company requirements
* Adhere to company policies and procedures
* Follow Health and Safety procedures
* Ensure all equipment and food service areas are clean and in good condition
* Collaborate with the Activities Team for special events
* Manage budgets
* Supervise staff and complete employee appraisals timely
* Schedule rotas
Essential Characteristics:
* Experience working in a care setting
* Catering qualifications
* Food safety/hygiene qualifications
