Role & Responsibilities
1. Deliver client-side quantity surveying services across all stages of construction projects
2. Undertake feasibility studies and support early project inception
3. Carry out risk and value management assessments
4. Prepare cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
5. Manage procurement processes, including tender enquiries and analysis
6. Negotiate tenders and contracts with contractors and consultants
7. Draft and administer contracts during the construction phase
8. Manage variations, change control, applications for payment and valuations
9. Prepare reports and manage final account negotiations
10. Undertake fund monitoring duties where required
11. Chair and attend project and client meetings
Required Skills & Experience
12. Assistant, Intermediate or Project-level Quantity Surveying experience
13. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
14. Personable, professional and client-focused approach
15. Desire to learn and progress with the ability to adapt quickly
16. Good understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
17. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively
18. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
19. Degree or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential
20. Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle
21. Working towards or willing to commence the RICS APC
