Join a welcoming and forward-thinking Additional Needs Hub in a lovely secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. You’ll work with pupils aged 12–16 who have special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, and social-emotional needs. These students flourish in non-mainstream settings, and we're looking for someone who can empower them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and adapt creative, engaging lessons across all subject areas.
* Support students with autism, ADHD, and social-emotional mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Build positive, trusted relationships and be a role model for students.
* Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and pastoral staff.
* Promote a calm, inclusive, trauma-informed environment for learning.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong academic background (GCSEs in English and Maths required).
* Graduate-calibre applicants, aspiring teachers, youth workers, or teaching assistants welcome.
* Compassionate, patient, and confident with behaviour support.
* Experience or interest in special education, alternative provision, or youth work.
* No teaching qualification required.
