Our client is looking for a Road Worker(N5) in the NE6 region.
You will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, pavements, and related infrastructure. The role is hands-on and practical, working as part of a crew to keep roads safe, functional, and compliant with standards. This is a physical role meaning you must be able to work in a manual, labour intensive environment without any issue.
Main Duties:
Repair damaged road surfaces (potholes, cracks, edges)
Lay asphalt, concrete, gravel, or other road materials
Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, tampers, breakers)
Set up road signs, cones, barriers, and temporary traffic controls
Work under the direction of supervisors or foremen
Compact surfaces using hand tools or machinery
Requirements:
Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience is not required but it is preferred
Report hazards, defects, or equipment issues
Ensure safety of co-workers, road users, and pedestrians
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday (7.30am - 4pm)
