GSL Education are seeking reliable and proactive Cover Supervisors to work across schools in Middlesbrough starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with classroom experience or those considering a future career in teaching. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay focused and complete their work in a positive and structured environment. We offer flexible day-to-day and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Your Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor (CS) : Supervise whole classes during teacher absences Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide guidance and support to students where required Record attendance and report any issues to senior staff Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment Support general school duties as needed Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times Requirements: Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable) A degree in Education, psychology, science or a similar field. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare is desirable but not mandatory.
