As a vet-owned independent practice, St David’s Poultry Team is the largest commercial poultry veterinary practice in the UK and Ireland.
We’re excited to be looking for a skilled Content Writer to join our busy team, initially on a part-time basis of between 16 and 24 hours per week, and we are flexible over working hours and working days. Our head office is based on the outskirts of Exeter, and we have plenty of on-site parking available.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion or interest in agriculture, animal health, and science communication but most importantly the ability to craft clear, engaging, and informative content that supports our clients, educates poultry producers, and enhances our overall presence.
Responsibilities
* Research and write quality content for a broad range of media including editorial, newsletters, social media, brochures, our website, adverts, short videos and more
* Translate sometimes complex veterinary and scientific topics into engaging material for a range of audiences
* Work closely with and build positive relationships with the vets, field technicians, directors and other members of the team, to ensure all content is accurate and relevant
* Where appropriate, monitor engagement metrics and tweak future content accordingly
Required
* Proven experience in content writing, preferably within agriculture, veterinary, or scientific industries
* Experience creating written content for a range of media including editorial, website, social media, newsletters and multimedia (such as short videos, infographics etc)
* Strong research, editing, and storytelling skills
* Ability to write with clarity and accuracy for both technical and non-technical audiences
* A self-starter with the drive to make things happen
Salary range
* £10,800 – £14,000 for the 16-hour role (dependent on experience)
* £16,200 – £21,000 for the 24-hour role (dependent on experience)
