SALARY: GRADE 2 SCP 4 £25,185 PRO RATA FTE.
CONTRACT: 6.25 HOURS PER WEEK / TERM TIME 38 WEEKS PER YEAR.
Temporary 1st September 2026 - 31st August 2027 due to budgets
The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint two motivated, resilient and, enthusiastic Midday Supervisors to support the pupils within our Special Resource Base.
Bryn Hafod Primary School is part of the Rainbow Federation. It is a welcoming, and inclusive school, situated in the Llanrumney area of Cardiff.
Bryn Hafod’s SRB classes support children with severe and complex needs. The school currently has 2 SRB classes and will increase its provision in September 2026 providing an extra 10 places for pupils (2026-27), with plans to expand to a 50 place SRB in September 2028 / 2029.
We are looking for candidates with good interpersonal skills who:
• will supervise children during the lunch break
• can help children eating their school dinner or packed lunch
• can supervise children in the playground
• can supervise children in their classes during inclement weather
• will play games and undertake activities with the children
• will manage children’s behaviour positively in line with school policy
• are able to follow the school’s safeguarding policy and procedures
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement wef 1st April 2026 which brings pay rates up to £13.45 per hour (scp 2 - 5). This supplement will be reviewed thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
