To support this critical work, we are seeking to recruit a School Support Services Manager to lead the Education Support Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has experience in managing and developing systems and processes along with leading and developing projects in a public service environment. You will lead and deliver improvement projects across nursery, primary and secondary ensuring that developments are effective, efficient and meet the needs of the service.
You will be responsible for the efficient, effective management and delivery of support services. This will include developing and delivering staff training programmes, leading and developing support functions relating to non-curricular Health & Wellbeing for pupils in schools, linking with local authority and partner providers in Early Years and providing support in relation to school budgets, grants and bursaries ensuring that procedures are robust and followed. The School Support Services Manager is also the Lead officer for information management, data protection and GDPR compliance across nursery, primary and secondary schools.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent (SCQF Level 9) in an appropriate discipline or have significant experience at a senior level within an organisation.
Knowledge of current legislation, guidance and national policies relating to education and learning is desirable.
You will have experience of leading a team, managing systems and processes and working with external partners alongside a proven and consistent track record of planning, developing and implementing change.
You will possess effective communication, numeracy, negotiation, influencing and project management skills as well as the ability to ensure organisational and service readiness for change through aligning values, structures, systems, skills, staff and strategy.
