Supply Desk is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Watford. This is a full-time role beginning in September, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.

Job Description:
Provide in-class support to pupils, working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning outcomes.
Support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs or EHCPs.
Assist with classroom preparation and the organisation of teaching resources.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using effective support strategies.
Help create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils, encouraging independence and confidence.
Monitor and report on pupil progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
Contribute to planning meetings and attend relevant training and professional development sessions.
Our ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar educational support role (school-based experience preferred).
Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be proactive, flexible, and confident in supporting a range of learning styles and needs.
Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
Be open to ongoing training in areas such as safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEND support.
