Overview
Crane Service Engineer role at Konecranes, based in northeast Scotland. Electrically-qualified engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
* You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
* Trouble-shoot equipment breakdowns.
* Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues.
* Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device.
Qualifications
* Apprentice-trained (or equivalent) and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines.
* Mechanical knowledge.
* Experience with overhead cranes and hoists is preferred, but maintaining, repairing, and servicing equipment in an industrial environment is essential.
* Based on 39 hours per week, Mon-Fri; weekend overtime earns double time.
* Great communication skills and personable when dealing with customers.
* Health & Safety awareness; able to work at height.
* Willingness to work extra hours with paid overtime; hold a current driving licence.
* Willingness to work on-call rota with enhanced premium.
* Around 30 nights per year away from home for customer locations in Scotland; accommodation and subsistence provided.
