As our business looks todeliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Tolls andMerchants Buyer to join our Purchasing team to manage short and long term contracts for materials which are ofsignificant value to the company’s business.
You will be responsible for employingcreative purchasing strategies to provide for the sourcing of tolled andmerchant products for the business at the lowest possible cost. You will beexpected to attain a concise understanding of the supply chain and to takenecessary action to ensure continuity of supply of these materials from chosensuppliers.

1. You will be educated to degree level, preferably within a scientific related discipline
2. A CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply is desirable but not essential
3. Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage, in particular French.
4. IT/SAP competence
5. Excellent commercial and negotiating skills
6. Good interpersonal skills
7. Good planning and organising skills
8. Ability to analyse data from a wide variety of sources

9. Develop the existing supplier network and propose new strategic partners
10. Work to prevent or actively solve day to day problems which arise with suppliers
11. Continually review the toll/merchant portfolio and put forward and implement ideas

13. Own regional & global contracts with toll/merchant vendors
