We’re looking for a motivated and organised Trainee Legal Executive to join our Residential Property team. About the Role As a Trainee Legal Executive, you’ll support Partners and fee earners on a wide range of residential property transactions. You’ll assist with file management, client communication, and case progression, while gradually taking ownership of your own workload. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone looking to develop their technical knowledge and practical skills within a collaborative and client-focused environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Supporting fee earners with a range of residential property matters. - Opening new files and maintaining accurate case management records. - Monitoring deadlines and ensuring actions are taken promptly. - Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors to provide updates and progress matters. - Managing incoming post and correspondence, ensuring files are kept up to date. - Assisting with file preparation for exchange and completion. - Managing your own caseload of matters, with appropriate supervision. - Supporting completion processes, including handling funds and redemptions. - Assisting with post-completion tasks and ongoing file management. - Providing general administrative and legal support to the team. - Promoting the firm’s core values: Our Clients, People, Teamwork and Progressiveness. What We’re Looking For - A strong interest in developing a career in residential property law. - Previous legal experience or knowledge of conveyancing (desirable but not essential). - Working towards your CILEX qualification. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong organisational and time management skills. - Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and legal systems. - A proactive and problem-solving mindset. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent client service.
