This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident clinical leader or an ambitious Ward Manager ready to step into a senior operational role. About the Service Our client operates a standalone 19-bed rehabilitation and recovery service for adults with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and gender identity issues. The service supports individuals detained under the Mental Health Act and is focused on recovery, resilience, and reintegration into the community. The Role As Director of Clinical Services, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Hospital Director. You will lead the clinical operations across nursing and therapy, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and patient outcomes. You will: Provide strategic and operational leadership across all clinical departments. Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance. Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team. Manage clinical budgets and workforce planning. Foster a culture of engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For To be successful, you will need: NMC or HCPC registration. At least 2 years’ experience as a Ward Manager or equivalent in a mental health setting. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience managing clinical budgets and driving quality initiatives. A proactive, forward-thinking approach with a commitment to excellence. A post-registration qualification and experience working with external stakeholders would be advantageous.
