About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of its ethical sourcing. You'll recommend recipes to customers and actively bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
Using your enthusiasm and friendliness, you'll build lasting relationships with customers, influencing their impression of the Waitrose brand and fostering loyalty. Additionally, you'll help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take responsibility for your own food counter, ensuring high presentation and hygiene standards.
2. Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
3. Handle open food with care, following health & safety protocols and reducing wastage.
4. Maintain knowledge of new products and Waitrose's food values.
5. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Effective communication skills to work well with the team and customers.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role, catering, or hospitality.
* Interest in food and drink trends.
