Overview
The post holder will provide configuration and maintenance support for the University's software applications, ensuring that platforms are configured, tested and maintained in accordance with University requirements, Digital Principles, policies, and standards. The role requires developing a technical understanding of relevant platforms and applications based on prior knowledge of software development and related databases/data structures. The post holder will use a variety of provided tools to configure and maintain applications such as chatbots, mobile and web apps, make required changes, extract relevant reporting and statistics from available dashboard functions, and provide project coordination by owning relationships with 3rd party system providers and key business stakeholders as necessary. They will provide support to internal teams, acting as a subject matter expert for any application queries and information.
Responsibilities
* Configure and maintain university software applications in line with requirements, policies and standards.
* Develop a technical understanding of relevant platforms and applications based on knowledge of software development and related databases/data structures.
* Use provided tools to configure and maintain applications (e.g., chatbots, mobile and web apps); implement changes as needed.
* Extract reporting and statistics from dashboard functions and support data-driven decision making.
* Provide project coordination by managing relationships with 3rd party system providers and key business stakeholders.
* Support internal teams and act as a subject matter expert for application queries and information.
Qualifications
* Prior knowledge of software development and related databases/data structures, with the ability to develop a technical understanding of platforms and applications.
Location and Availability
There is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week; hybrid working is available for this role.
