JOB : HGV Vehicle Mechanic
LOCATION : Birmingham
TERM : Permanent
SALARY : GBP 40,000 : GBP 60,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a well:established automotive service centre, known for delivering high:quality maintenance and repair services. They are currently looking for a skilled HGV Vehicle Mechanic to join their team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.
The Mechanic will ideally have the following attributes:
: Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrics
: Diagnostic and fault:finding skills using modern diagnostic equipment
: A valid UK driving licence
: Strong problem:solving abilities and attention to detail
: Be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
: Willingness to learn and grow within the company
: MUST have experience with HGV Class 1 and 2 Vehicles
The Mechanic role will involve:
: Performing routine maintenance and servicing on a wide range of vehicles
: Carrying out diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
: Replacing parts such as brakes, clutches, tyres, and timing belts
: Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety regulations
: Communicating effectively with customers and team members about vehicle issues and repair timelines
: Maintaining accurate records of work carried out
: Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and organised
: Working as part of a friendly and experienced team
