We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join us for this special role.
Who are we?
TPAS Cymru is a not-for-profit organisation, part funded by Welsh Government. For 35 years, we have worked across Wales in developing effective tenant engagement and tenant voice in housing through training, support, practical projects and policy development. We love what we do, and we are proud of our work.
Background to this role
Across Wales, there are 222,000 social housing households (Council housing and Housing Associations) and 230,000 private renters.
At TPAS Cymru, we want the voice and experiences of tenants to be at the heart of plans and heard in decision making both locally and at national level.
Events & Communications Co-ordinator
You will help organise and deliver events online and face to face, and create digital content, research and oversee a survey and help analyse the results. In time, you will run information exchange events, focus groups, make social media content, create case studies and influence landlords and Government. You need to be confident working with a wide range of people and diverse communities in Wales. For those who want it, the role has a development pathway to bigger opportunities and rewards.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 5 days/35 hours per week. Note: We are open to discussing fewer hours to suit your needs.
Salary: £28,000 per annum FTE
Location: Hybrid working from home and based at our Cardiff office, with some travel in Wales.
We offer a very good holiday allowance, 5% pension contribution, group life cover, and an ethical culture.
TPAS Cymru is an Equal Opportunities organisation and is committed to equality of opportunity. We support and encourage under-represented groups and value diversity.
Concerned you don’t meet all the criteria? Apply anyway!
Too often, people don’t apply for a position like this because they feel they don’t meet every part of the job description. We are not tick-box people; we want to know what you can offer, not what you don’t have, and your application should reflect that. If you have the right attitude and basic skills, we offer training and development opportunities to develop into the role.
