A globally high-volume manufacturer is currently looking to strengthen their manufacturing department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineer.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will ensure all manufacturing requirements are communicated in detail through the relevant departments and provide support throughout the organization.
Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Fault finding/repair of process plant and equipment
2. Identifying and implementing ongoing process improvements
3. Training nominated employees involved in heat treatment processes
4. Compiling and issuing technical reports
5. Providing technical support to other group companies
6. Planning, designing, and implementing process-related productivity and cost-saving projects
7. Development of new processes (e.g., vacuum sintering)
8. Providing emergency cover for all heat treatment plant
9. Ensuring furnace safety system testing and reporting as per company procedures
10. Completing SAP planning sheet enquiries
11. Supporting process FMEA development and maintaining updates
12. Developing, documenting, and sustaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all process-related equipment across the site
13. Organizing, ordering, and controlling process-related spares
14. Providing audit support across all shifts as required for current company audit programs
The successful candidate should be educated to degree level in engineering or hold an HNC/HND qualification.
You should demonstrate detailed knowledge and experience in current production and new product introduction.
You should have at least 2-3 years of experience within the manufacturing industry and possess excellent communication skills, as this role will be the direct interface between manufacturing and clients.
