Overview
We have an exciting new opportunity to recruit two permanent Specialist Mental Health Practitioners (nurse) to work part time in the Purbeck Primary Care Network and Wimborne & Ferndown Primary Care Network, comprising GP Practices based in east Dorset. Roles can be filled by two candidates on a 0.5 FTE part-time contract or a single candidate seeking a full-time role. The successful candidate will be an experienced RMN Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting.
This role is for proactive, passionate individuals focused on providing high-quality care to people identified as in need of mental health support in a primary care setting. It is an opportunity to develop your career and skills in an innovative and creative environment.
Applications from candidates who require current Healthcare worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply for this position.
Main duties
This role will work collaboratively between Primary Care, Secondary Mental Health Services and the wider Access Wellbeing offer as part of an Integrated Model of Care. The intention is to focus services around local communities and GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams. The practitioner will provide targeted care according to population needs by supporting the PCN clinical strategy and facilitate onward access to secondary care-based services, third sector services and link with existing support services via the Primary Care Network.
If you have the skills and qualities that meet the requirements for this post we would welcome your application.
The post is 18.75 hours for Purbeck PCN and 18.75 hours for Wimborne & Ferndown PCN. The option to be considered for a full-time 37.5 hours to cover both PCNs will also be considered.
Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and can present a valid DBS certificate may not require a new check.
