As a PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require high levels of personalised support. The successful PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group support, assisting with daily routines and working alongside therapists, teachers, and support staff. Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support as a PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant
• Support pupils with personal care, feeding, and mobility
• Assist with communication strategies (PECS, Makaton, sensory approaches)
• Follow individual care plans and behaviour plans
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Requirements
• Experience as a PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting complex SEN needs
• Calm, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
