This role will assist with the delivery of a comprehensive Procurement Service in accordance with Council policies, relevant legislation and defined levels of service as agreed with the Service Lead – Procurement.
The post requires:
To be involved in the day to day management and administration of electronic advertising of contracts as required by Standing Orders and EU Directives.
To provide management reports from the Procurement system as required in respect of contract compliance, usage and any other relevant management information which may be required.
To assist with the administration and development of tender documentation and contract award/regret letters aligned with strategic and policy direction across all council directorates and in line with the Councils Standing Orders or EU Directives as appropriate.
To deliver Best Value through the cost effective procurement of supplies, services and works on behalf of the Council.
To assist the Service Lead – Procurement in the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and contribute to the adoption of good working practices and a positive, healthy and safe working environment.
To carry out such other duties consistent with the post and as may be required by the Service Lead - Procurement.
