Offer description

We are supporting a large, well-established organisation in the search for a
People Analytics Team Manager
. This is a key leadership role for someone who can bring strong people management skills, confident stakeholder engagement, and the ability to shift HR reporting from data-heavy outputs towards meaningful insights that shape decision making.

The role

You will lead a team of seven (including two incoming apprentices), ensuring they are in the right roles, supported, and delivering high-quality work. The team already provides a range of HR reporting — from absence, turnover and sickness data, through to monthly scorecards, service KPIs and dashboards for the HR Directors and Executive Committee.

The focus now is on stepping beyond data manipulation into meaningful analysis. Stakeholders, particularly at HRD level, are looking for insights they can act on, and you will be central in setting expectations, pushing back when needed, and ensuring the team's outputs are valued at the highest level.

While you won't be hands-on with reporting on a daily basis, you'll be expected to support your team with guidance, challenge, and coaching, alongside managing stakeholder conversations. The technical set-up is still evolving (currently manual processes, moving towards Azure with Power BI), so resilience and pragmatism will be important.

Key responsibilities

* Lead and develop a team of seven, including two apprentices, setting clear expectations and managing performance.
* Build strong relationships with HRBPs, HR Operations, HRDs, and the wider HR community.
* Ensure accurate delivery of monthly scorecards, dashboards and service reporting, while driving a shift towards insight-led outputs.
* Handle demanding stakeholders, setting boundaries and ensuring expectations are realistic.
* Support the transition towards a more centralised data platform and reporting environment.

About you

* Proven experience managing and developing a team, including having difficult conversations and moving people into the right roles.
* Strong stakeholder management skills – able to influence, set expectations, and hold the line with senior leaders.
* Background in HR reporting and analytics, with a focus on insights rather than purely technical delivery.
* Familiarity with HR metrics such as absence, sickness, turnover and SLA/KPI reporting.
* Understanding of Power BI and/or Azure environments would be an advantage, but not essential.

The offer

* Salary £60,000 – £65,000
* Matched pension up to 7%, life assurance, health and wellbeing initiatives, family-friendly policies
* Hybrid working: 1 day per week in Rushden, plus 1 additional collaborative day per month

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on leadership, enjoys the challenge of managing stakeholders, and wants to help shape the future of people analytics in a complex organisation.
