Berkeley Commercial Developments Ltd (“BCD”) is part of the Berkeley Group PLC and is in charge of collecting ground rents on behalf of Berkeley Operating companies. The portfolio is due to significantly increase over the coming years. The portfolio currently has 44,000 units. The purpose of this role is to collect and record ground rent income on behalf of Berkeley freehold owning companies also a third-party Investment Company.
What you’ll be doing
* To assist the Ground Rents team in billing, collecting and recording ground rent
* To deal with queries from leaseholders by phone and email
* Take card payments using Sagepay
* To post receipts onto leaseholder accounts
* To manage mail out of demands, reminder letters etc.
* Dealing with Managing Agents, Solicitors and Operating Companies
* Dealing with the assigning of leases and queries from Solicitors
* Preparing and uploading newly completed units to the system
What you’ll bring
* A proactive, driven person with common sense, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively
* Good level of IT skills and a credit control knowledge
* Confident telephone manner
* Communication (written and verbal), negotiation and problem-solving skills

The standard default full-time working hours in the office are 8am-5pm with core working hours 9am-4pm.
