Job Title: Lead Payroll Specialist, EMEA
Location: EMEA - Homebased
About the role
We’re hiring a Lead Payroll Specialist to work with local teams to standardize and stabilise payroll operations across EMEA. Covering 15+ countries, you’ll play a critical role in driving both operational stability and strategic alignment. You’ll lead payroll execution within the region to improve and maintain quality, and have a heavy involvement in standardisation initiatives in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead payroll for 700+ employees across EMEA, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Lead a regional HR/payroll team and support vendor coordination.
* Drive payroll system improvements and standardisation efforts.
* Lead audits and special payroll cycles.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high level of quality payroll services.
* Execute operational tasks to support day‑day payroll delivery operations as needed.
About You
* 8+ years’ payroll experience, with 3+ years leading regional and matrixed teams.
* Expertise in EMEA payroll regulations and multi‑country management.
* Proficiency in ADP, SAP, Workday, or similar systems.
* Excellent stakeholder communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Fluent in English; German, Dutch, French, Italian, Polish, Turkish, or Spanish is a plus.
