Job Description:
The University of Lancashire is seeking to recruit to the key leadership role of Executive Director of Estates and Campus Services. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the University of Lancashire estate, driving ambitious campus development, regeneration, operational excellence, and sustainability.
The University of Lancashire, founded in 1828, is a leading multi-campus university in the UK with over 39,000 students. It was named Edufuturists ‘University of the Year’ in 2023 for its innovative approach to learning and societal impact.
Currently, we are progressing through our Strategic Plan 2021-2028, aiming to be recognized as a leading UK university with significant national and international influence, delivering practice-based education across multiple campuses including Preston, Burnley, Blackburn, West Cumbria, and Cyprus.
The Executive Director will develop and implement the estate strategy aligned with university objectives, overseeing teams responsible for capital investment, estate optimisation, facilities management, and campus services. The focus is on enhancing efficiency, customer experience, and value for money.
This role offers the challenge of managing a diverse estate portfolio and working with public and private sector partners to advance the placemaking agenda. The director will lead efforts in estate optimisation and service delivery to support sustainable growth.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in developing estate strategies that improve end-user experience and land/property optimisation. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for delivering impact, are essential.
