We are seeking a Registration Officer to provide outstanding customer service whilst focusing on statutory duties of a Deputy Registrar, which includes registration of births, stillbirths, deaths and attestation of notices of marriage/civil partnerships. This is an office based role which involves seeing customers face to face. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with good IT, administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail who can remain calm under pressure and has the ability to apply complex regulations in a sensitive and customer focused way. Experience of delivering services directly to the public is needed and the successful candidate must be able to work effectively and flexibly in a busy front-line office. Some weekend working will be required and travel to venues within the borough will require you to use your own transport for which mileage will be paid - business use insurance will be required.
