We are pleased to be recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) team on a part‑time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small, collaborative service where teamwork, learning and professional development are genuinely valued.

You will work closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care, housing partners, contractors and Housing Associations, contributing to creative, person‑centred solutions that make a real and lasting difference to residents’ independence and wellbeing.

About you...

You will be:

* A HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist with a recognised qualification
* Experienced in major housing adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grant work
* Confident working collaboratively with colleagues, service users and partner organisations
* Able to assess complex housing needs and identify practical, proportionate solutions
* Interested in developing your specialist knowledge and contributing to service improvement.
* Experienced in assessing and matching individuals to alternative or void properties when adaptations are not suitable.

About the team...

The Disabled Facilities Grant team is a small, busy and supportive service that works closely with Adult Social Care, housing partners, contractors, and Housing Associations.

We deliver person-centred adaptations that meet long-term needs and ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

As a team, we support each other by working collaboratively to provide a holistic, timely, and cost-effective service that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

You will be joining a team that values professional trust, reflective practice and mutual support.


Key responsibilities...

* Undertake person‑centred assessments to identify housing adaptations that promote safety, independence and long‑term wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with service users, colleagues and partners to develop and progress DFG solutions
* Contribute specialist OT knowledge to multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions and service development
* Produce clear, evidence‑based reports and recommendations to support DFG applications and adaptation specifications
* Maintain accurate electronic records in line with professional and organisational standards
* Engage fully in supervision, appraisal and ongoing professional development
* Practice in accordance with council policies and the HCPC Code of Conduct and Standards of Proficiency
