Senior Programmes Coordinator
Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programmes Coordinator to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,550 - £43,000 per annum depending on experience.

As Senior Programmes Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in providing oversight of and support to allocated country offices in all operational and financial matters as well as lead on the portfolio management of Human Appeal’s programmatic activities with field offices and local partners across the region. Lead on the designing, implementation and reporting of effective programmes, according to country and regional strategies. To contribute to strategy development and provide support in aligning and shaping organisational and strategic decisions and goals.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Programmes Coordinator:
5. Provide oversight and support to Field Offices,
6. Work in line with Human Appeal’s Programmes Strategies, to help achieve the organisation’s Strategic Key Priorities,
7. Provide quality assurance in the field and HQ in coordination with QA unit,
8. Review and develop high quality proposals for allocated countries,
9. Oversee project implementation, delivery and effective learning,
10. Raise country and regional portfolio.
What we’re looking for in our Senior Programmes Coordinator:
11. A Bachelor degree in social science/international development or any related field or Relevant Master’s degree preferred.
12. Minimum 4 years of experience working in Programme Coordination at an INGO with ideally at least 1 years’ experience at Global Coordinator or Manager level
13. Experience working with, and delivering on bids from high-profile institutional funding bodies including UN, DfiD, GIZ, USAid
14. Demonstrable experience of delivering long-term projects and Field office strategies
15. Demonstrable experience managing Field Office response during a disaster
16. Experience of managing at least 5 large-scale projects at any one time
17. Must be fluent in English and at least 1 additional fluent language pertaining to HA Field Office countries (. Arabic, Bengali, French, Pashto, Urdu, Swahili)
18. Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector.
